Both ceremony sites are set and both are included, the same as a wedding. What is different is everything a first wedding needs and a renewal does not.
What is different
Smaller, shorter, and nobody is nervous.
A renewal has no wedding party to house, no getting-ready morning to build a room around, and usually no need for the full 7,200 square feet. That changes what you should actually be renting.
Most renewals here will want the covered pavilion and the porch rather than the whole hall: the ceremony outside facing the creek, then a meal that does not need to seat three hundred. The hall stays available if the guest list grows.

- 2,400 sq ft, covered and open-sided. Enough for a ceremony and a meal.
- No suites needed
- The weekday rate does not include them, and a renewal rarely wants them.

- Open catering and your own bar, the same as every other booking here, with a licensed, insured bartender pouring it.
Ceremony spaces
Indoor or outdoor wedding, your choice.
Outside, the ceremony faces the creek and the open prairie. Inside, it faces the cathedral window and the same view.
Both are set. Both are included. You are not choosing between them a year out, and you are not paying for a backup you hope not to use.
Kansas will do what Kansas does. The plan already accounts for it.

The setting
The creek is the reason to do it outside.
The outdoor site faces the creek with open prairie behind it, and the pond sits west of the building so the light goes down behind the water. For an evening ceremony that is the entire argument.
If Kansas does what Kansas does, the indoor site is already set under the cathedral window and the call gets made that morning. There is no backup to pay for and no decision to make a year out.
The rate
Six hours, $500, Sunday through Wednesday.
A renewal is a non-wedding booking at the published weekday rate, with set-up and clean-up inside those six hours. It does not include the bridal suite or the groom suite.
Weekend dates are held for weddings first. When one does open up, a non-wedding event can have it.
