The gatherings that outgrew somebody’s house.
Most of these start as a plan to do it at home and stop when somebody counts the chairs. The number where a family gathering has to become a booking is somewhere around forty people, and this room takes three hundred.

- A covered pavilion separate from the seated hall, so the music does not sit on top of the meal.

- A quiet building on open land, twenty minutes from the city, with no other event running alongside yours.
The property
Thirty acres, and nobody else booked that day.
One event at a time. There is no second ballroom down the corridor and no wedding party crossing the lobby while your family is trying to have an afternoon.
The creek runs the length of the property and the two-acre pond sits west of the building. For a gathering that is going to spill outdoors anyway, that is the part that makes it worth the drive.
The rate
Six hours, $500, Sunday through Wednesday.
Set-up and clean-up happen inside those six hours rather than being billed on either end. The rate does not include the bridal suite or the groom suite.
Weekend dates are held for weddings first. When one does open up, a non-wedding event can have it.
